Abstract

This paper examines the relationship between the attitudes of future teachers towards homosexuality and bisexuality, and their knowledge about sexual roles, sexual behaviors and realities of young homosexuals and bisexuals. 114 undergraduate students in education answered a questionnaire to identify their knowledge and attitudes. Results evidence that the sample has little knowledge about the evaluated issues and a “neither positive nor negative” attitude toward homosexuality and bisexuality. In addition, results establish a positive relationship between the attitudes and knowledge discussed.
