Resumo
Para los médicos de urgencias es un verdadero problema el paciente con patología oftalmológica, porque son ellos los primeros que se enfrentan el diagnóstico y manejo inicial de estos pacientes. No es desconocido que el glaucoma (ataque agudo de glaucoma) es una patología de consulta frecuente en los servicios de urgencias, por lo que su diagnóstico, así como su adecuado manejo, debe ser rápido y acertado para evitar secuelas irreversibles. Este artículo busca facilitar las herramientas para el diagnóstico y el adecuado manejo del paciente que presenta un ataque agudo de glaucoma.
