Resumo

El sangrado digestivo oscuro es una causa frecuente de anemia crónica por pérdidas gastrointestinales. La gravedad de la anemia depende de la causa, por ello se presenta el caso de un paciente con dos causas subvaloradas en nuestro medio. En este paciente sin antecedentes previos de enfermedad, con cuadro de fatiga fácil, palidez cutáneomucosa marcada, se documenta anemia ferropénica severa, con requerimiento de soporte transfusional. Al buscar activamente su causa, se encontró una hernia hiatal grande y lesiones de Cameron como causa de anemia crónica.
