Abstract

This article aims to describe the teaching of Latin American History in Brazil, in the history curriculum for basic education, especially in what is known in Brazil as Middle School. For research purposes, we will take an extensive period —from the late 19th century until the early 21st— for which we will review the official curriculum positions.
