Abstract

This research article is derived from a field study conducted to identify social representations (SR) of the computer users of Community Learning Centersat ITESM. The instruments used were:free association test and interviewscript to samples of 217 subjects inthe first condition and 31 in the secondone. The study was conducted inChapa de Mota and Villas del Carbón,Estado de México. SR were changingbetween users based on age andlength of use and showed how communitymembers used the computerin their daily activities.
