Abstract
Three perspectives around the idea of nature are reviewed in this paper: the Western, the Eastern (Japanese and Chinese) and the Sikuani. The aim is to understand the sociocultural and historical dynamics generated by these ideas. Their representations and contents are organized in interpretational frameworks, senses and meanings, especially in the field of education. Approaches are made to the links between social, cultural and historical contexts and the idea of nature.
