Abstract
La condición de obesidad durante la gestación se asociada con un aumento en la tasa de filtración glomerular, la hidronefrosis fisiológica, y la predisposición a desarrollar infecciones urinarias.
Objetivo: Evaluar la morfología del glomérulo renal y la expresión de MMP-2 durante la gestación en condición de obesidad
Métodos: 64 riñones de ratas Wistar correspondientes a los 13.5 y 16.5 días de preñez, de biomodelos alimentados con dieta estándar (n=32; Control) y dieta de cafetería (n=32; Obeso), fueron procesados para histología e inmunomarcación de MMP-2. Los parámetros evaluados fueron área glomerular, área corpuscular, espacio urinario. Intensidad de expresión de MMP-2. Los valores fueron expresados como la media±ES.
Resultados: Al día 13.5 no se observaron cambios estructurales en los riñones de ambos grupos. Al día 16.5, los riñones maternos del grupo obeso presentaron una disminución significativa del área glomerular con un aumento del espacio urinario (p<0.05) vs control. La MMP-2 mostró una expresión proteica disminuida desde el día 13.5 en grupo obeso vs control.
Conclusiones: Los cambios estructurales y moleculares observados en el glomérulo renal durante la preñez en obesidad muestran como una sobrecarga del sistema materno, producto de la gestación, puede presentar mayor disposición a la generación de condiciones patológicas irreversibles.
