Abstract
La idea de organizar una red de conocimiento conformada por interesados en la investigación biomédica del embarazo y la placenta humana comenzó a gestarse desde el I Simposio Colombiano de Placenta e Interacción Materno-Fetal – 2018 realizado en la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá, el cual permitió reunir a un grupo de académicos de diferentes ciudades e instituciones. En este tercer evento consecutivo, esta idea ya empieza a ser una realidad con la participación de ocho profesores investigadores de 4 instituciones (Universidad de Antioquia, Universidad del Norte, Universidad del Valle y Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá). La red es planteada como una estrategia para el desarrollo científico, soportada en la transdisciplinariedad, alineada con el Plan Estratégico Institucional del Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación, y con el objetivo de conectar de manera articulada a la comunidad de investigadores nacionales en el estudio del embarazo y la placenta favoreciendo la investigación colaborativa, así como la generación y apropiación social del conocimiento en nuestro país. Finalmente, extiendo una invitación a todos los interesados para hacer parte y fortalecer esta iniciativa que permitirá eventualmente aumentar la capacidad de investigación y competitividad, así como la gestión de conocimiento en este campo de estudio.
