Los artículos de la edición especial hacen parte del proyecto “Ley de Procedimiento de la Jurisdicción Especial para la Paz: aciertos, debilidades y desafíos del derecho penal en contextos de justicia Transicional”, seleccionado en la convocatoria “Estudios Exploratorios 2018” del Instituto Colombo-Alemán para la Paz (CAPAZ). El proyecto fue presentado por la Profesora Lorena Vega y el Profesor Gustavo Cote (Universidad Javeriana), en asocio con el Profesor Kai Ambos (Universidad de Göttingen, Alemania) y la Profesora María Cristina Gómez (Universidad de Antioquia).

En el marco de este proyecto, se invitaron varios expertos para tratar algunos aspectos problemáticos de la Jurisdicción Especial para la Paz y su funcionamiento. Antes de ser sometidos a la evaluación ciega de pares académicos, los resultados de las investigaciones individuales y las versiones preliminares de los artículos fueron socializados entre los invitados en el seminario de discusión realizado los días 27 y 28 de mayo de 2019 en la Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá.

Las versiones finales de los estudios realizados por los participantes del proyecto han sido recogidas en la edición especial del Vol. 69 Publicación Continua de la revista Vniversitas.
