Este dossier busca publicar diagnósticos de investigadores de todo el mundo acerca de las desigualdades e injusticias de la educación en América Latina, así como sus causas y las consecuencias que de ellos se derivan. Interesan tanto las desigualdades en el acceso y permanencia, como en el aprendizaje y la participación, y tanto en niveles pre-obligatorios, como obligatorios o post-obligatorios. Las aportaciones pueden abordar las desigualdades por género, por nivel socioeconómico, por origen nacional o lugar de nacimiento, por capacidad o por pertenencia a grupo étnico cultural minoritario. Pueden ser aportaciones de uno o varios autores que investiguen las desigualdades educativas para el conjunto de la región, pero también presentar la situación en determinados países o regiones de América Latina. Se espera, en todo caso que sean aportaciones derivadas de la investigación y, en el caso de tratarse de artículos de reflexión derivados de investigación, éstos deberán derivarse de varias investigaciones (no sólo una) realizadas por los autores.
